The Feast of Trumpets window opens tonight

Rosh Hashanah 5787 begins at sundown on 11 September and ends at nightfall on 13 September. Several Christian commentators have proposed the window as a possible Rapture date. The calendar is correct; the claims about it are individual readings, and most of their authors decline certainty.

The station has been tracking this window since August. Tonight it opens. The verifiable part is the calendar. Rosh Hashanah for Hebrew year 5787 begins at sundown on Friday 11 September 2026 and ends at nightfall on Sunday 13 September, which is exactly the range being circulated — unusual in this genre, where the arithmetic is normally the first thing to break. The unverifiable part is everything else. A number of Christian commentators read the Feast of Trumpets as the festival a Rapture would fulfil, and several have published on the 2026 observance: a 22 August teaching giving the range as "9/11–13/2026 [or maybe it's 10-12-26] we can't say for sure", a "final countdown" post on 7 September, and a 9 September update that poses the question in its title and answers it with the observation that no one knows the day or the hour. Others in the same tradition argue the opposite case: that date-setting is the error, and that everyone who has named a year so far has been wrong. What travels online is stronger than anything its authors said. Distinct, cautious, mutually inconsistent readings get compressed into one confident "September 11 rapture prediction", usually in a screenshot with no name attached. The date survives the trip. The qualifications do not. Classified Religious Interpretation: reported, not endorsed. The station will file the outcome after nightfall on 13 September, including any restatements the claimants make. Nothing here is a forecast, and nothing here is a reason to change your plans for the weekend.
