Accessibility Statement
What we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you. Last updated 29 July 2026.
Our aim
TARGETWe aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across World Still Here?, WSH-30, and the WSH30 QuickStart pages and checkout. We test with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and with reduced-motion and zoom settings enabled. We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit, so this is a statement of effort and intent, not a certification.
What is in place
MEASURES- Semantic headings, landmarks, and one H1 per page.
- Full keyboard operation with visible focus indicators.
- The daily check-in button is a real button with an accessible name and a text confirmation, not a mouse-only graphic.
- Live clocks, countdowns, and check-in counters are hidden from screen readers and replaced with a static summary, so assistive technology is not interrupted every second.
- Ambient motion, flicker, and scan-line effects respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Text remains readable at 200% zoom and reflows on narrow screens.
- Form fields have labels; errors are described in text, not colour alone.
- WSH-30 worksheets have a high-contrast print stylesheet.
- The QuickStart purchase, success, and download pages are keyboard operable, and each download link names the file it fetches.
Known gaps
HONEST LIST- The terminal aesthetic uses amber and green on near-black. Most text meets AA contrast, but some small decorative labels (equipment codes, station metadata) are lower contrast by design. No essential information is conveyed by those labels alone.
- Stripe's embedded checkout is a third-party component; its accessibility is Stripe's to maintain.
- The generated share image is decorative and has no text alternative for its internal layout.
- The QuickStart PDFs (the workbook and the Household Action Card) are print-first documents in black and white. They are not fillable form PDFs, and they have not been audited as tagged, screen-reader-optimized PDFs. If that is a barrier for you, ask us and we will send the content in another format.
- Monospaced type throughout may be harder going for some readers.
Report a barrier
FEEDBACKIf something here blocks you, email hello@worldstillhere.com with the page and what happened. We aim to reply within 5 business days and to fix genuine blockers before cosmetic work. If you need WSH-30 or QuickStart content in another format, ask and we will send it.
